To borrow materials you must have a valid OWWL card.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">How do I register for a library card?</span><br />On your first visist to the library, bring some form of identification with your current address. This can be a driver's license, car registration, checkbook, utility bill, etc. We can then issue you a card and you can begin borrowing.<br /><br />Children ages five (5) and up can get a Victor library card when accompanied by a parent or guardian.<br /><br />An remember, <span style="font-weight: bold;">one</span> card is all you need! If you have an OWWL card form any library in the Pioneer Library System it can be be used in our library.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">How long can materials be kept?</span><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></span>Our normal loan period is three (3) weeks.<br />Exceptions:<br /></span><br /><ul><li style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 100%;">Framed prints: 4 weeks</span></li><li style="font-family: arial;"><span style="font-size: 100%;">Video tapes and DVDs: 1 week</span></li><li><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: 100%;">Holiday books: 1 week</span></li></ul><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: 100%; font-weight: bold;">Late fees:</span><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">There is a .20 a day fine for late library materials.</span> <span style="font-family: arial;">The maximum fines are:<br /></span><br /><ul><li style="font-family: arial;">Adult, Children &amp; Young Adult Books: $5.00</li><li style="font-family: arial;">Audio Books, cassettes &amp; CDs: $5.00</li><li style="font-family: arial;">Magazines: $5.00</li><li><span style="font-family: arial;">Video &amp; DVD fines: $1.00/day; $5.00 maximum</span><br /></li></ul><span style="font-size: 100%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: arial;">After-Hours Book Drop:</span></span></span><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">If the library is closed when you have a book to return, place it in the book drop at the front entrance if the building. If the item is something that you want to renew you can renew it by phone or online using your library card and PIN number. You can call us during regular library hours to renew by phone. Please have your library card and library materials available when you call. Note that we cannot renew materials with reservations on them.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-size: 100%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Inter-Library Loan:</span></span></span><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">Items not owned by the Victor Free Library can be borrowed from other libraries. This can be done by visiting or contacting the library or can be done online using your library card or pin number.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial; font-weight: bold;">Reserving Materials:</span><br /><span style="font-family: arial;">If an item you want to borrow is on loan when you visit the library ask to have it placed on hold for you.
