Circulation Information

The Victor Free Library is a member of the Pioneer Library System. To borrow materials you must have a valid OWWL card.

How do I register for a library card?
On your first visist to the library, bring some form of identification with your current address. This can be a driver's license, car registration, checkbook, utility bill, etc. We can then issue you a card and you can begin borrowing.

Children ages five (5) and up can get a Victor library card when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

An remember, one card is all you need! If you have an OWWL card form any library in the Pioneer Library System it can be be used in our library.

How long can materials be kept?
Our normal loan period is three (3) weeks.
Exceptions:
  • Framed prints: 4 weeks
  • Video tapes and DVDs: 1 week
  • Holiday books: 1 week
Late fees:
There is a .20 a day fine for late library materials. The maximum fines are:
  • Adult, Children & Young Adult Books: $3.00
  • Audio Books, cassettes & CDs: $3.00
  • Magazines: $3.00
  • Video & DVD fines: $1.00/day; $5.00 maximum
After-Hours Book Drop:
If the library is closed when you have a book to return, place it in the book drop at the front entrance if the building. If the item is something that you want to renew you can renew it by phone or online using your library card and PIN number. You can call us during regular library hours to renew by phone. Please have your library card and library materials available when you call. Note that we cannot renew materials with reservations on them.

Inter-Library Loan:
Items not owned by the Victor Free Library can be borrowed from other libraries. This can be done by visiting or contacting the library or can be done online using your library card or pin number.

Reserving Materials:
If an item you want to borrow is on loan when you visit the library ask to have it placed on hold for you. Materials can also be placed on hold over the phone or online using your library card and PIN number.
