Circulation Information

The Victor Farmington Library is a member of the Pioneer Library System.  Victor Farmington Library requires that you have your card with you to borrow items.

How long can materials be kept?
Our normal loan period is three (3) weeks.

Exceptions:
  • Video tapes and DVDs: 1 week
  • Holiday books: 1 week

    Late fees:
There is a .20 a day fine for late library materials. The maximum fines are $5.00 per item.

After-Hours Book Drop and Renewing items:
If the library is closed when you have a book to return, place it in the book drop at the front entrance of the building.  If the item is something that you want to renew you can renew it by phone or online using your library card and PIN number.  (Your default PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number).  You can call us during regular library hours to renew by phone.  Please have your library card and library materials available when you call.  Note that we cannot renew materials with reservations on them.  Books may be renewed twice and videos may be renewed once.

      Reserving Materials:
If an item you want to borrow is on loan when you visit the library ask to have it placed on hold for you. Materials can also be placed on hold over the phone or online using your library card and PIN number.  (Your default PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number).

      Intra-Library System Loan:
Items not owned by the Victor Free Library can be borrowed from other libraries in the OWWL system. This can be done by visiting or contacting the library or can be done online using your library card or PIN number.  (Your default PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number).

      InterLibrary Loan:
Unfortunately, the OWWL system does not have everything.  Sometimes it is possible for us to go outside the system and borrow an item from another Library.  The cost is a non-refundable $5 for the search.  We cannot promise that a library will lend us an item or for how long.  There are no renewals on InterLibrary Loans and if an ILL item is returned late all future ILL privileges will be suspended.
